Yet another charity having funds that the people of America and the world donate to help feed starving, hungry and needy children all over the world!
What is sad that most people who are STEALING from charities usually STEAL from a CHILDREN'S charity!
In our area just last year Santa Pal, a Christmas for needy kids charity was hit by the Director STEALING possibly over $100,000. The amounts still continue to change in this case. He onlyhas to serve 2 years and a few months for his THEFT!
I have included other links for more stories on the problem with embezzlement in our nations charity orgs. BUT stories like this hurt the really good charities! People already angry over the chronic misuse of funds and resentful of helping charities are giving less.
But can you blame Americans for feeling resentment and should our outrage over these stories stop us from helping charities?
What can be done to prevent more stories like this from happening? Is a sentance of only 2 years and 8 months enbough for a man who would steal from a Children's Charity?
BUT he said he was SORRY! I guess that makes it all ok then! But for the many Christmases how many kids suffered from lack of gifts.
And his wife insists she knew nothing. BULL, you don't go buy 2 new cars and a new home and other expensive things and not ask your spouse "Where did you get the money?" The spouse knew and was in on it, as in most cases!
